 The Albert Theatre.
Opened in March of 1910, gutted by fire in November of 1910 and
re-opened in January of 1911. The previous Albert Theatre that
stood on this spot was dedicated in 1907 and was destroyed by fire in
the same year.

Nov. 25.--The
interior
of the
Albert
theatre
building,
a four
story
brick
block of
modern
construction,
was
burned
out. The
fire
started
in the
rear of
a
furniture
store
and
communicated
with the
stage of
the
theatre
by an
air
shaft,
spreading
from
there
under
the
floor of
the
theatre
to the
front of
the
building.
The loss
is
estimated
at
approximately
$100,000.
The
cause of
the fire
is
unknown.
